Telsey Advisory Reduces PT on Burlington Stores (BURL) Stock, Maintains Outperform Rating

On May 30, Telsey Advisory Group reduced its price objective on Burlington Stores, Inc. (NYSE:BURL)’s stock to $300 from the prior target of $340, while keeping an “Outperform” rating, as reported by The Fly.

As per the analyst, Burlington Stores, Inc. (NYSE:BURL) reported a strong start to FY 2025, while its revenue reached the mid-point of the guidance range. Total sales increased 6% in Q1 2025 as compared to Q1 2024 to $2,500 million, with comparable store sales remaining flat as compared to Q1 2024.

Furthermore, the firm opines that the company remains a key beneficiary in the current climate, thanks to the strength of its off-price model. Burlington Stores, Inc. (NYSE:BURL)’s agility in responding to fluctuating market trends and external pressures, together with an expansion of its store fleet and strategic relocations, can offer additional growth opportunities as compared to its peers.

The firm’s analyst sees the acquisition of prime retail locations as a critical part of Burlington Stores, Inc. (NYSE:BURL)’s strategy to improve presence and bring in high-value customers, mainly when consumers remain focused on seeking value. Furthermore, Burlington Stores, Inc. (NYSE:BURL)’s Q1 2025 performance and other P&L efficiencies are expected to mitigate the impact of current tariff pressures.
