Skype Preview Now Available for Z10 Running OS 10.1 (BerryReview)
A few weeks back Q10 owners were the first to get their hands on Skype for blackBerry (Android Port), and now Z10 owners who have been running BB OS 10.1 can also join the action. Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is calling the version available on BlackBerry World a “Preview”. BlackBerry calling it a preview has me wondering if we will see something different tomorrow after the keynote, which I recommend keeping it locked to BerryReview for the latest from BlackBerry Live.

Apple’s iPads, iPhones could be subject to new French ‘culture tax’ (Apple Insider)
Smartphones and tablets are at the center of new proposals from former Canal Plus CEO Pierre Lescure, whom France’s socialist government tasked with finding new ways of funding French cultural projects in the face of an economic downturn, Reuters reported on Monday. Lescure, noting that consumers are spending more money on hardware than on content, proposed a one percent tax on the sale of Internet-compatible devices. The new tax would target iPhones and iPads from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), but also Android tablets and Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s Kindle Fire devices. Lescure’s plan would likely yield roughly 86 million euros per year. That revenue would go to support cultural industries creating French music, images, and videos, according to the proposal.

Microsoft touts Office 365 buyers that dumped Google Apps (CNET)
There are a lot of businesses that pay for office suites, but two days before the Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) I/O show, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) spotlighted three that picked its Office 365 after trying Google Apps. Google got a head start with Google Apps, the online service that includes Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. But Microsoft has a massive customer base using its old-school Office products who are natural candidates for moving to Microsoft’s online suite. Three customers — Sensia Halsovard, Sepco III, and Arysta LifeScience — all picked Office 365 “after having deployed or piloted Google Apps,” Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) touted Monday.
