Salesforce Integrates Moonhub’s AI Team For AI-Powered Hiring Solutions

On June 2, Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) brought on board a significant portion of the team from Moonhub, a startup specializing in AI tools for talent vetting and hiring. While not a full acquisition by Salesforce’s definition, Moonhub is winding down its operations, and its team members, including CEO Nancy Xu, will be joining Salesforce to advance its AI strategy, particularly in the area of intelligent hiring systems.

Moonhub was founded in 2022 by ex-Meta engineer Nancy Xu and developed AI-powered tools designed to automate various aspects of the recruitment process, from identifying candidates to assisting with onboarding and payroll management. The startup had previously raised $14.4 million from investors including Khosla Ventures, AIX Ventures, Day One Ventures, GV (formerly Google Ventures), and Salesforce itself. Moonhub reported having hundreds of customers, including Fortune 500 companies.

The incoming Moonhub team is comprised of individuals with strong backgrounds in AI, including ex-Stanford Computer Science PhDs and MBAs, highly cited NLP researchers, and former ML leads from Twitter Cortex and Meta. Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) provides customer relationship management/CRM technology to connect companies and customers.
