Do you live in Canada? Are you a WIND Mobile customer? If so, you are not alone. No matter if you have a Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry device right now or are simply thinking about buying one in the future, there are a few things you need to know.

Research in Motion Ltd. (BBRY)If you have been keeping tabs on the release of the BlackBerry Q10, you are well aware that this smartphone is already available on most major Canadian carriers including Bell, TELUS, and Rogers. With that being said, you are probably wondering why WIND Mobile has been holding out for so long? After all, Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) needs all of the help it can get.

Well, if you are a WIND customer you are not going to have to wait much longer to get your hands on this device. According to a recent report by CrackBerry, the BlackBerry Q10 is going to be released on the network today (June 7, 2013).

Despite the fact that the WIND website is still showing that the device is only “coming soon,” here is what the article had to say:

“A quick check of WIND’s site still shows the Q10 as “coming soon” but according to Mobile Syrup the Q10 is set to be available starting tomorrow. The Q10 will be available in black only for $649 outright or $349 on the WINDTab. They are expected to offer up the white version at a later date.”

This would be a big deal for both Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry and WIND.

For BlackBerry, the company needs to push its Q10 smartphone through as many outlets as possible. They are looking to grab market share back from the leaders, and doing so is going to take a lot of work.

For WIND, it is safe to say that the carrier has thousands upon thousands of customers who are hoping to get their hands on a Q10 sooner rather than later. If the company doesn’t get on the ball, these people may jump ship and check out one of the carriers that is already in the game.

If true, this is excellent news for both Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry and WIND Mobile. Just like many other carriers in Canada, WIND will likely find that the Q10 is becoming quite popular.
