RadNet Acquires See-Mode Technologies to Enhance AI Ultrasound Imaging

RadNet, Inc. (NASDAQ:RDNT) has moved to strengthen its prospects on the use of artificial intelligence to enhance ultrasound imaging. On June 4, the company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary DeepHealth, confirmed the acquisition of See-Mode Technologies.

RadNet, Inc. Acquires See-Mode Technologies to Enhance AI Ultrasound Imaging

With the acquisition, RadNet will integrate See-Mode’s thyroid and breast ultrasound technology into its comprehensive portfolio of artificial intelligence solutions for breast, lung, and prostate. See-Mode boasts of applications that enhance the detection and characterization of thyroid nodules and breast lesions in ultrasound imaging.

Its solutions also improve diagnostic accuracy while enhancing clinical workflows. Consequently, the solutions are expected to strengthen DeepHealth’s prospects in population health solutions. In addition, they will form the basis of future AI-powered ultrasound solutions.

RadNet is acquiring See Mode when thyroid cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women. Over 20 million ultrasound exams are performed annually for thyroid and breast cancer combined. The deployment of See-Mode’s FDA-approved thyroid ultrasound AI in the company’s imaging centers has already demonstrated a 30% reduction in scan time. The acquisition of See Mode should enhance RadNet’s ability to drive better access and more revenue in existing centers.

RadNet, Inc. is a leading freestanding, fixed-site diagnostic imaging services provider. It has a 401-owned and/or operated outpatient imaging center network.
