Potential DNA Evidence, Replacement Named, in I.M.F Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn Sexual Assault Case

A Sofitel chamber maid said while she was cleaning the $3K/night suite, Dominique Strauss-Kahn approached her naked from behind and sexually assaulted her, according to NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul J. Browne, as reported by NY Times. By the time the police arrived, DSK had apparently fled for an Air France flight for Paris, leaving behind his cell phone and some forensic evidence that could contain DNA, according to the Times. As DSK lounged in first class on the idled Air France flight, Port Authority detectives boarded the flight and apprehended DSK uncuffed.

Wifey is standing by him. In a statement, French journalist Anne Sinclair says “he will be proved innocent”, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The arrest came yesterday around 4:40pm. Earlier today, the International Monetary Fund named John Lipsky as acting managing director. DSK is no stranger to being a scumbag. In 2008, he admitted to cheating on his wife with a subordinate at the IMF. The IMF board and Sinclair stood by him then. He did make a public apology to them though, so that of course is important.
