Google Now is interesting

Nuance does not directly provide its technology to Google, but its technology supports many Android applications, including the virtual assistant for HTC and the voice recognition apps for Samsung’s S-voice. Google already had Google Now as its voice recognition apps. Google Now is considered a good customized way for users’ information needs as it could anticipate users’ questions, suggesting the right thing for the right time, based on the search history. According to arstechnica.com, Google Now could be considered a quite convenient “fully assistive tool,” integrating all the things that user would like to do in a simple single interaction.

My Foolish take

In the future, voice recognition technology could be upgraded continuously to better serve mobile phone users. It is hard to predict who will be the winner. Looking forward, investors could be beneficial when Nuance is growing its business in the mobile and automotive field, while expanding its footprint significantly in TV, and Voice-to-Text business. With the consistent cash flow generation, Nuance could have a high probability to perform over time.
