Over 10,000 homes will be served by the program, which will replace Elberton’s outdated hybrid fiber-coaxial network with a scalable, 25G PON-ready all-fiber network in collaboration with ZCorum.

Elberton’s strategic objectives to improve connection for remote work, healthcare, education, and local innovation are supported by the deployment. Core IP/MPLS routing and fiber technologies, such as Lightspan MF fiber access nodes and MoCA Access for buildings that aren’t fiber-ready, will be supplied by Nokia Oyj (NYSE:NOK). XGS, 25G, and upcoming 50G PON upgrades are supported by the platform. Installation and continuing technical support will be handled by ZCorum, which has supported broadband since 2001.

The investment offers “virtually no limits” in bandwidth scalability, according to Nokia Oyj (NYSE:NOK)’s Mark Klimek. This signifies a major digital change for Elberton and strengthens the company’s long-term commitment to depend on the internet.
