Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)’s European Accelerators Hunting For Hot Sectors: Roxxanne Varza

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) like many of its peers in the tech sphere knows the importance of the idiom, ‘early bird catches the worm’. In an interview on Bloomberg, Microsoft France startup lead, Roxxanne Varza talked about some of the sectors where these worms are hiding nowadays.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)

“I think a lot in health space, we see a lot in data, we see a lot in gaming, in music, still a lot of innovation to be done even in classical spaces like e-commerce, so I think, you know, we talk about a lot of these same trends in these conferences, but there is a reason because they are all still very hot,” said Varza.

A company like Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) cannot just rely on the innovation that is organic and comes from within and has to reach out to other entrepreneurs and lend them a hand for a stake in their businesses. Varza explained that the hardest part for any business is in fact to scale to a degree that enables it to capture a significant market share. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) helps these new companies with just that.

“Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s  ventures program actually brings in companies that normally have already launched, normally already have a viable product together, so a prototype and we are actually helping them to kind of make sure that the product works, test it, validate it with the market, and obviously we help them scale from there and do a lot of customer development with them,” explained Varza.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has invested significantly in Paris with regard to it accelerators. While the tech giant also has a presence in London and Berlin on similar lines, Varza explained that Paris is of special interest on account of the effort that the government has been putting into supporting startups.
