Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) Xbox One Release Date: What is the Deal?

The fact that many people are looking forward to the release of the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox One gaming console is no surprise. Consumers all over the world are ready to make a purchase and get involved with all the fun that the console is sure to bring into their life.

Of course, there is one big question that needs to be answered: when is Xbox One really going to be released to the public?

Up until now, it was believed that the device would be made available on November 27, 2013. This would make good sense, being that the company will surely have the console out by the meat of the holiday season.

However, this date is not set in stone by any means. IGN recently received some information from Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT):

“We have not informed our retail partners about a specific launch date for the Xbox One. It is commonplace for retailers to put placeholders dates and prices into our system until they are given a specific date and price. We are excited to release the Xbox One in November 2013.”

At this point, it is clear that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is not interested in tying itself to the originally reported November 27 launch date. That being said, this latest information shows that the company will be making it available sometime during the month of November. Just when, however, is yet to be announced.

While it is possible that the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox One gaming console could be released on November 27, there are reasons why the company may not wait this long. For example, Microsoft may not want to miss out on the rush of sales that would be sure to come with the release of Battlefield 4 in October and Call of Duty and Watch Dogs in the early part of November.

When it comes to the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox One, there are quite a few rumors out there. This information, direct from MSFT, is just about as good as it gets.

Pre-orders for this gaming console are breaking all kinds of Amazon records, which should be making Microsoft extremely happy. The real test will come once the final release date is announced. From there, we will get a better idea of just how much steam the console has picked up.
