Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) Proud of this Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NOK) Smartphone

When it comes to the Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) Lumia 625 smartphone, there is a lot of talk about where it fits in (check out this interesting piece). While everybody from consumers to analysts continue to discuss this addition to the market, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has stepped up and shown the world just how proud it is of this device.

Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NOK)As a Windows Phone, the Lumia 625 has quite a bit to offer. An official Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) blog post added the following:

“The first two things you’ll probably notice about the new Nokia Lumia 625 are its humongous 4.7-inch LCD display and its five swappable candy-colored shells, which come in orange, yellow, bright green, white, and black. Nokia said the 4G LTE-ready phone would go on sale in China, India, and other countries outside the U.S. in the next few months. Estimated price tag: 220 euros (which might vary by country based on local taxes and subsidies).”

Believe it or not, the Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) Lumia 625 smartphone has the largest screen on a Windows Phone to date. This is saying something, and will definitely go a long way in helping the phone compete with others in this space.

From the outside, it is easy to see that the Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) Lumia 625 smartphone brings a lot to the party. But did you know that this Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows powered phone hast just as much going for it on the inside? Here is more from the Microsoft blog post:

“Behind that big screen is a solid Windows Phone 8 smartphone: The Lumia 625 has a 1.2-GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512 MB RAM, 2,000mAh battery, and 8 GB internal storage—expandable to 64GB via MicroSD card. It sports a 5-megapixel camera with 1080p recording and a front-facing VGA shooter.”

As you can see, there is nothing about this smartphone that is lacking. Nokia did a great job with everything, both inside and out, and Microsoft did its part as well. When you combine the efforts of these companies, you end up with a device that has quite a bit to offer.

In the months to come, it will be interesting to see how the Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) Lumia 625 is received by the public. One thing is for sure: Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) will be doing its part in pushing the smartphone.
