Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has clarified that its upcoming videogame console Xbox One would not require a Kinect sensor for it to operate. However, the sensor would still be part of the bundle as a basic accessory. This means that although Kinect comes with the package, a player does not need to use it just to play the game. This clarification reverses the company’s previous announcement that Kinect would have to be connected to Xbox One to make the device work. Still, the company asserts that the second-generation motion sensor remains an important and integral component of the gaming platform.
