Moskowitz upgraded his rating from equal weight to overweight, or a rating that indicates an analyst believes the stock has a better-than-average chance of outperforming market indexes.

Wednesday marks the 62nd anniversary of the Ford Motor Co (NYSE: F) initial public offering in 1956, but investors are in no mood to celebrate after the company released disappointing guidance after the market closed Tuesday. Ford stock traded more than 6 percent lower Wednesday after Ford’s full-year 2017 and 2018 earnings guidance fell short of Wall Street expectations. Ford said it expects to report 2017 adjusted earnings per share of $1.78 and 2018 EPS of $1.45 to $1.70. Analysts were expecting 2017 EPS of $1.83 and 2018 EPS of $1.62.

Shares of Juno Therapeutics (NASDAQ:JUNO), a clinical-stage adoptive cell therapy company, rose by 55.4% in premarket trading Wednesday. Driving the monstrous surge was the news that its development partner, Celgene Corp. (NASDAQ:CELG), is reportedly preparing a buyout offer. While Celgene’s shares were down by 1.8% before the opening bell on the back of the buyout rumor, it’s having a positive impact on the stock prices of other adoptive cell therapy companies.

Neurometrix Inc (NASDAQ:NURO) climbed 37.2 percent to $2.36. NeuroMetrix and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare reported a strategic collaboration for the development and expansion of access to Quell Wearable Pain Relief Technology.

General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) (MorningStar.com)
General Electric Co.(GE) slumped 4.4%, building on a steep loss seen in Tuesday’s session that came after the industrial conglomerate announced a fourth quarter after-tax charge of $6.2 billion (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/ge-shocks-market-with-multibillion-dollar-loss-in-legacy-reinsurance-business-2018-01-16) and a $3 billion cash capital contribution to its insurance subsidiary that will grow to $15 billion by 2024.
