Kontoor Brands, Inc. (NYSE:KTB) is an American apparel company that was spun off from VF Corporation in May 2019. It specializes in denim products and markets its clothing under the Lee, Wrangler, and Rock & Republic brands.

Back in February, the company revealed that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Helly Hansen. Commenting on the completion of the deal, Kontoor Brands, Inc. (NYSE:KTB)’s President, CEO, and Chairman, Scott Baxter, stated that this milestone marks a significant advancement for the company as it broadens its portfolio of iconic consumer brands. He noted that the acquisition is expected to enhance growth, diversify categories, channels, and geographic reach, and strengthen Kontoor’s presence in the outdoor and workwear segments. He made the following comment about the acquisition:

“I want to thank the entire Helly Hansen team for their partnership as we have worked toward this exciting milestone. Together, I am more confident than ever we will create significant long-term value for our shareholders.”

The addition of Helly Hansen is expected to immediately contribute positively to Kontoor Brands, Inc. (NYSE:KTB)’s revenue, adjusted earnings per share, and cash flow for fiscal year 2025, in line with projections shared by the company on May 6, 2025.
