Second Generation iPad: With the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad Mini selling so well, many have already begun to speculate when the second generation tablet will hit the market.

Well, let the “official speculation” begin.

According to a recent report by CNET, chipmakers are already beginning to prepare for the second generation device. The article goes on to say:

RBC Capital Markets analyst Doug Freedman — who is in China visiting chip companies this week — offered this ambiguous Apple note: “iPad Mini Gen-2: Apple’s gen-2 iPad mini is getting pulled-in, and is likely to have several new suppliers, with TXN (Texas Instruments) gaining content.”

While nobody knows for sure when the next generation Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad mini will reach the public, it is believed that by “pulled in” Freedman is referring to bumping up the release.

As exciting as this may be, especially for those who are already talking about feature updates for the second generation device, it is important to note that the tech giant is still rolling out the current version throughout the world including China and Russia.

As we discussed yesterday, the cellular enabled iPad Mini has just been introduced in China along with the fourth-generation iPad.
