Every year, mobile analytics firm Distimo takes a close look at the industry in its highly anticipated Global App Stores Report. As expected, the Apple App Store and Google Play are the big winners. But which store is making the most noise? Which app store is poised to take over the industry in the future?

According to the report, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s Play achieved more sales growth than the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store. That being said, Apple is still out in front in terms of overall revenue.
