Roland-Garros is officially known as the French Open and is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments held annually. This year’s event is the seventh year that Infosys plays the role of the tournament’s official AI and Digital Innovation Partner. The company said it will take this opportunity to deploy its AI-first platform, Infosys Topaz, to deliver enhanced fan engagement features.

Infosys introduced three primary AI innovations for the 2025 tournament. The first is AI Commentary, which uses large language models (LLMs) combined with real-time analytics to deliver personalized match commentary. The feature captures match dynamics to provide engaging and bespoke viewing experiences.

The second innovation is AI Stadium, which enables fans to create personalized 3D tennis arenas. The tool uses advanced text-to-image generation and voice prompting to create virtual environments. It allows users to design environments ranging from futuristic to nature-inspired settings within seconds, optimizing image generation for VR spatial immersion.

The last one is the Generative AI Poster Challenge. This feature introduces video generation capabilities, allowing fans to create short AI-generated videos using prompts. The videos will feature French landmarks, art styles, and tennis themes. At the Infosys Fanzone, fans can experience personalized posters in an immersive LED cube environment.

These AI innovations build upon Infosys’ existing tournament technologies, including Match Centre, AI Videos, and AI-Assisted Journalism. The company said it will continue to expand these features to enhance player performance analysis, fan engagement, and overall tournament experiences.
