Folger Hill Asset Management, led by Solomon Kumin, created the most outsized position in Valley National Bancorp (NYSE:VLY). The fund reportedly had $2.2 million invested in the company at the end of the quarter. Ken Griffin’s Citadel Investment Group also made a $0.2 million investment in the stock during the quarter. The other funds with brand new VLY positions are Matthew Hulsizer’s PEAK6 Capital Management and Alec Litowitz and Ross Laser’s Magnetar Capital.
