On May 20, Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s Google unveiled a premium AI subscription tier for users seeking access to its most advanced tools and features at its annual Google I/O developer conference.

The service, known as “Google AI Ultra,” is positioned as a flagship choice for users seeking to stay on the cutting edge of AI technology, offering premium usage allowances, priority access to the company’s latest AI models, and high-end features.

According to Josh Woodward, head of product incubator Google Labs, Google AI Ultra comes with the company’s flagship AI application, Gemini, along with the recently revealed Gemini 2.5 Pro “DeepThink” mode, which is helpful for in-depth research.

Priced at $249.99 a month, Google AI Ultra subscriptions provide users with early access to the Veo 3 video generation model and Flow, the company’s recently unveiled AI-powered filmmaking tool. As Google seeks to monetize its AI products and diversify its revenue streams amid market shifts, the plan, despite its high cost, may attract premium users willing to pay more to utilize Google’s products.
