Sales rose 17.2% for traditional gas-powered vehicles and about 29% for hybrids, which helped offset a 25% drop in electric vehicle sales, including the electric F-150, compared to May 2024.

This marks the third straight year of double-digit sales growth for Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), with the employee pricing promotion continuing through the July 4th weekend.

A Ford spokesperson said in an email that the company’s ‘From America, For America’ employee pricing program is resonating with customers and helping to boost strong sales.

The program launched as President Trump’s 25% tariffs on imported vehicles took effect in early April. Since then, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) raised prices on some Mexico-made vehicles, citing seasonal adjustments and tariff-related costs.

In late March, many buyers rushed to purchase vehicles ahead of expected price hikes, boosting sales in the second quarter.
