ExxonMobil partners with arts organizations to bring arts to Alsen, Baker area summer campers (ZacharyToday)
Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM), the Community Fund for the Arts (CFA) and BREC are partnering to bring a free local arts production to about 200 north Baton Rouge summer campers today. Campers will have the opportunity to see the arts in action during three 30-minute performances by the Louisiana Sinfonietta, Playmakers of Baton Rouge and artist — and Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) employee — Jennifer Hughes. Through these performances, funded by Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM), campers will learn about the connection between the arts and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) and its employees, including those from XTO Energy, donated $665,994 to higher education institutions across Kansas as part of the Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) Foundation’s 2012 Educational Matching Gift Program. “ExxonMobil employees have a history of giving back through both their volunteerism and philanthropy. The corporation and foundation share that philosophy and are proud to join them in their generous support” Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM)Foundation contributed unrestricted grants of $484,783 to match donations of $181,161 from employees, retirees, directors and surviving spouses. This investment includes gifts from employees of XTO Energy Inc., an Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) subsidiary. XTO Energy has offices in Lakin and Garden City with a nine-county operating area in the state of Kansas.
