The firm highlighted the company’s strategic positioning in critical submarkets, mainly in the engine aftermarket and guided munitions sectors. Therefore, the positioning enabled Woodward, Inc. (NASDAQ:WWD) to achieve robust EBIT growth and positive revisions in the aerospace segment, which happens to be a key driver of its stock price.

As per Deutsche Bank, Woodward, Inc. (NASDAQ:WWD)’s prospects in the broader aerospace sector are strong, projecting more than 25% growth this year. They opine that such positive trends in the aerospace industry are expected to continue, aiding the company’s growth trajectory. In Q2 2025, Woodward, Inc. (NASDAQ:WWD) stated that its aerospace segment growth was aided by continued robust demand for smart defense and strong commercial aftermarket activity driven by high utilization of legacy aircraft.

This was partially mitigated by lower commercial OEM and defense aftermarket activity. In Q2 2025, the company’s Aerospace segment earnings came in at $125 million, reflecting a rise of 27% YoY. The improvement was primarily because of price realization and volume, partially offset by inflation and unfavorable mix.

Woodward, Inc. (NASDAQ:WWD) is engaged in designing, manufacturing, and servicing control solutions for the aerospace and industrial markets.
