Bernstein Lifts Amer Sports (AS) Price Target After Strong Q1 Report

On Wednesday, May 21, Bernstein SocGen Group increased its price target from $32 to $43 for Amer Sports, Inc. (NYSE:AS) and kept an “Outperform” rating.

This decision follows the company’s strong Q1 2025 results. The company grew its revenue by 233.5% compared to the same period in the previous year. Because of this strong performance, the company raised its full-year 2025 guidance. Amer Sports, Inc. (NYSE:AS) said sales momentum is accelerating and it is effectively managing selling, general, and administrative expenses (SG&A). The analyst noted that the company beat expectations in all business segments and geographic regions.

The Outdoor Performance segment’s adjusted operating margin rose to 14.7%, significantly up from the high single-digit margins seen in 2024. Amer Sports, Inc. (NYSE:AS) also increased its full-year 2025 guidance for adjusted earnings per share (EPS) to between $0.67 and $0.72, which is 4.5% above the previous forecasts. This improvement is attributed to faster revenue growth and a slightly better tax rate. Despite this, management has set cautious expectations for the remainder of 2025.

The Salomon brand has become an important growth driver for Amer Sports, Inc. (NYSE:AS), along with the Arc’teryx brand, which is already thriving. Salomon’s growth comes from expanding its soft goods, growth in China and the Asia-Pacific regions, and higher margins. The analyst noted that Salomon’s sneakers have reached $1 billion in annual sales, and management sees significant growth opportunities ahead.
