Apple TV Apps: Do You Ever Find Yourself Doing This?

Apple TV Apps: Do you ever find yourself watching movies or television shows on The CW? If so, you  may know that the station’s TV Now application is currently available on both Windows 8 and Xbox 360. Moving forward, according to a report by Deadline, it will now be available on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV as well.

This is a huge boost for the station, while also giving Apple a high level of satisfaction. In other words, this is a win-win relationship that is sure to lead to bigger and better things for both companies in the near future.

Apple Inc (AAPL)At the company’s recent Upfront Presentation, CW president Mark Pedowitz talked about the availability of the app on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV in the future.

When talking about the deal, Pedowitz said:

“This year we’re reaching more viewers on more platforms. We are reaching our audience everywhere they are, and we want you to be with us everywhere we go.”

In the context of this quote, Pedowitz was referring to advertisers as “you.”

It is interesting to note that roughly 20 percent of the station’s audience tunes in via digital sources. While this is an impressive number right now, you can only imagine what the addition of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV is going to do for the network.

MacRumors jumped in on this story by reaching out to The CW for more information on how the app will work and what it will offer viewers.

Here is what you need to know:

“It’s a dedicated CW app that will work like our Xbox and mobile and tablet apps – no cable authentication required, full episodes of our shows available next day after air, ad-supported.”

As you can see, the app is going to be similar to what people are currently using on other platforms. With full episodes of popular shows, such as The Vampire Diaries, users of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV are sure to be excited about access to this content.

Believe it or not, this is the first network television app made available through Apple TV. This alone shows why it is such a big step in the right direction for both companies.

Whether or not this deal leads to more of the same for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV is yet to be seen.

Although an exact release date was not given by The CW, the app is set to reach Apple TV users in the next few weeks.
