Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:ALGN) has awarded $300,000 in research grants to twelve universities worldwide as part of its fifteenth Annual Research Award Program.

The 2025 grants, announced June 2, support innovative dental and orthodontic research across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific, with recipients including the University of Alberta, University of Florida, University of Rochester, State University of Rio de Janeiro, University of Liège, Link Campus University, UniCamillus International Medical University, Sichuan University, and Sydney Dental Hospital.

Selected projects will explore topics such as patient adherence to clear aligner therapy, precision of attachment bonding, biological markers of tooth movement, and comparative outcomes between clear aligners and traditional braces. The program, which has distributed $3.75 million in funding since 2010, aims to advance dental science and improve patient care globally.

Applications reached a record high this year, reflecting the growing interest and impact of Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:ALGN)’s research initiative. All proposals underwent blind review by an independent academic committee, ensuring rigorous selection of projects with the potential to shape the future of orthodontic treatment.
