1. Biohaven Ltd. (NYSE:BHVN)
On June 1, 2026, Biohaven Ltd. (NYSE:BHVN) announced the initiation of first-in-human dosing for BHV-8100, its oral, brain-penetrant pyruvate kinase M2 isoform modulator. Chief Scientific Officer Bruce Car said BHV-8100 represents a potential “fundamental breakthrough” in a new class of medicines for systemic and brain disorders involving metabolic and immune dysfunction. Car said Biohaven is seeking to correct the core energy deficit linked to inflammatory and neurological disorders, including atopic dermatitis, Alzheimer’s disease, and retinitis pigmentosa.
On May 27, 2026, Biohaven Ltd. (NYSE:BHVN) reported “compelling” results from its extracellular MoDE and TRAP degrader platform, including BHV-1300 and BHV-1400. In Graves’ Disease, weekly BHV-1300 1000 mg achieved mean reductions of pathogenic TSHR-IgG1 of greater than 80% by week 12, while patients with elevated thyroid hormones saw free T4 normalize at a median of 3 weeks and free T3 within a median of 5 weeks. Biohaven said BHV-1300 has been safe and well-tolerated through 12 weeks of dosing and is being advanced to a pivotal trial in Graves’ disease in the coming weeks. For BHV-1400 in IgA nephropathy, the company said treatment achieved mean reductions of pathogenic Gd-IgA1 of greater than 60% within 48 hours and 70% within one month of dosing.
Earlier in May, RBC Capital lowered the firm’s price target on Biohaven Ltd. (NYSE:BHVN) to $22 from $23 and maintained an Outperform rating on the shares. RBC said the company’s Q1 results showed programs progressing as expected ahead of its R&D Day, while noting that pivotal initiations for BHV-1400 are taking slightly longer into mid-2026.
