5. Raspberries

Raspberries are grown all over the world and countries in Europe and North America are some of the largest producers of the fruit.  They contain compounds that are known to fight several diseases; however, research is still going on to study the health benefits of the fruit. However, it does take quite long to grow the fruit, with raspberry canes requiring one year to mature and then another year to produce the fruit. They do, however, require little maintenance.

Spinach is another vegetable that is called a super food.
