5 Most Bicycle-Friendly Countries in the World

3. Australia

Score: 2.17

Australia is known to be paradise for bikers, with several cities having the infrastructure that allows you to commute and explore using a bike. Perth, in particular, is popular for its bikeability with more than 700 kilometers of bike routes in the city.

According to Austroads, around 3.40 million Australians use a bicycle each week; of them, about 80% use it for recreation, while only few ride it to commute to work. The government is actively working on upgrading the infrastructure for cyclists, with at least $400 million spent by both state and local governments in 2020 across the country.
