On May 7, Reuters reported that the company just launched a new AI chip for its 11-inch iPad priced at $1,000 and its 13-inch iPad priced at $1,300. The iPad has an M4 chip with a neural engine supporting the computing required by AI features. On May 6, the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has been working to produce its own chip capable of running artificial intelligence software in data center servers. The company is also at the forefront of acquiring AI startups.
