5. Flipkart

Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal established Flipkart in October 2007. It is located in Bengaluru and is one of India’s top E-commerce platforms. Initially, the firm operated as an online bookshop. Later, it expanded its product line to include movies and mobile phones. The firm now sells more than 80 million goods in more than 80 categories. It is capable of delivering eight million packages every month.

In July 2020, a group of investors led by Walmart invested an extra $1.2 billion in the Flipkart Group. Following an equity round, it has a $24.9 billion valuation. In addition, as part of a partnership with Climate Group’s worldwide electric mobility programme, EV100, Flipkart has committed to making the full transition to electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030 throughout the E-commerce value chain.
