On April 7, 2026, UBS analyst Jon Windham said Centrus Energy Corp. (NYSE:LEU) could face increasing competition in U.S. enrichment services after BWX Technologies disclosed plans to pursue a uranium enrichment license for a new facility. Jon Windham said BWX aims to produce highly enriched uranium for the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration and expects to submit its application in Q1 2027, adding the development could represent a “competitive headwind” for Centrus Energy Corp.
