During an interview on Bloomberg, CEO, Mathew Williams, reiterated that the main objective of Pro.com is to make it easy for customers to find the right professional for various home improvement projects

The Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) backed startup has already carried out two rounds of financing, having been in business for one and half years. The first round according to the CEO raised $3.5 million in which Bezos also took part with the second one raising $14 million.

“We want to change how customers interact with Pro’s and be able to find  a price for your home project, find a pro and then get the job done as seamlessly as possible,”  said Mr.  Williams.

The team at Pro.com, most of it, has a background from Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) which Williams believes will be essential in the startup climbing the heights in the home improvement segment.

“You can go to pro.com price out any home project and we have an algorithm that essentially takes any home project down to the simplest levels to the most complex and you can price it instantly,” said Mr. Williams

Pro.com already has a nationwide presence having been backed by the likes of Madrona Venture Group, Andreessen Horowitz, and Redpoint ventures.
