What Divides Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s iOS Users From Google Inc (GOOGL)’s Android Users?

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iOS has been second fiddle to Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Android for the last few years in the global market shares in smartphones. But with a very successful iPhone 6 sales, one might expect that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iOS is soon catching up with Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Android. CNBC’s Landon Dowdy talked on CNBC about the experts’ opinion on what divides iOS and Android fans.

Dowdy said that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Android has been the top dog for the past few years, but, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iOS has been making inroads into the market with a very successful iPhone 6 sales. She said that according to the Marketing Specialist Brandy, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) makes the consumers part of its ecosystem. She added that all the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) devices becomes part of the ecosystem and make the consumer to buy all of them to get a good experience.

Dowdy said that according to the marketing specialist, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Android is mainly for tech savvy consumers, who likes to tinker with operating system.

The reports suggest that it’s the battle between sleek vs. geek when we see the battle between Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iOS vs. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Android.

But this team is not following the crowd, but following the operating system. So in summary both are smartphones, but in two words, its sleek vs geek,” Dowdy said.

She added that if you are an user who likes to have an emotional connection with the mobile devices, you are in Team Apple and if you are an user who likes to get more techie with the phones, you are in Team Android.
