Apple iPhone for Tmobile: T-Mobile and Apple iPhone Working Well Together

Apple iPhone for Tmobile: At this time, T-Mobile is not an official Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) partner carrier. That being said, this has not stopped the company from having approximately 2 million iPhones on its network.

According to reports by both TmoNews and AppleInsider, T-Mobile is doing quite well despite the fact that the company has yet to become an official partner.

Here is what TmoNews had to say:

“I’m listening in on a live conference happening at the Citi Global Internet, Media and Telecommunications conference in Las Vegas right now where T-Mobile CEO John Legere just dropped some interesting stats on the iPhone. With the numbers Legere mentioned, it’s easy to imagine that T-Mobile is eager to get their “Apple Product” deal rolled out as soon as possible. Legere further mentioned that the company currently serves 1.9 million iPhone devices and is adding 100k new devices every month. Mind you, it was back on December 6th that T-Mobile mentioned they were currently serving 1.7 million iPhone devices. That’s a 200k jump in 30 days.”

With so many T-Mobile customers activating an Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone every month, the company has to be salivating at the thought of pushing their deal forward as soon as possible.

Here is a brief breakdown from the AppleInsider article discussing where T-Mobile stands and what the future holds:

“While it is the fourth-largest wireless carrier in the U.S., T-Mobile only recently announced a deal to sell Apple’s products starting in 2013. In contrast, small regional carriers like Appalachian Wireless and Cricket Communications kicked off sales of the latest iPhone 5 in September.”

“T-Mobile has apparently changed its tune in regard to the iPhone as the company’s U.S. Chief Operating Officer Jim Ailing said in November that he was unwilling to make the major investment required to carry Apple’s popular handset. “

“Make no mistake about it: We would love to carry the iPhone,” Ailing said at the time. “However, we want the economies to be right for us.”

It looks like the “economies” of the deal are clear at this time, being that T-Mobile is eagerly awaiting its chance to officially sell the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone in 2013.

Did you know that T-Mobile was currently serving this many Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone customers? What are your thoughts for the partnership between the two companies in 2013?
