Research In Motion Ltd (BBRY)’s Thoughts On This Subject Are Oxymoronic

The e-tail and search giants have ensured that there really isn’t much in the way of hardware margins down there, which is where the PlayBook is currently positioned. Of course, the tablet market is proving to be a good business model for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Amazon, and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG). The iPad remains Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s fastest-growing new product category, Amazon has expanded its content ecosystem, and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) has dramatically broadened the global reach of its ads and services.

Just because Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s tablet business isn’t good doesn’t mean others can’t enjoy it. Sorry, Heins, but it’s simply not possible to become the “absolute leader in mobile computing” without tablets.
