Nokia Lumia 928 now free via Verizon (CNET)
Verizon customers with an eye on Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK)’s Lumia 928 can now pick up the phone for free. Initially selling for $99, the phone’s price was chopped to zero on Monday. Verizon naturally requires the usual two-year contract. But before you get ready to sign a deal, Verizon’s Web site currently says the phone is temporarily out of stock. CNET contacted the carrier to see when the phone might be available again online and if and where consumers can find it at Verizon retail stores.

Nokia Amber update coming in late August, early September (GSMArena.com)
We know everything about the Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) Amber update, except for the launch date. We had heard August from Nokia Spain’s Twitter, but those social networking accounts are often unreliable. Now Nokia PR at the Lumia 925 launch in Taiwan says late August, early September is the target. That’s good news, but unfortunately there’s some bad news too – apparently, Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) will prioritize the Lumia 920 update, which potentially means lower profile devices will have to wait. That wouldn’t be ideal, considering the humble Lumia 520 has exploded in popularity.
