Davidson Kempner Capital Management was founded by Marvin Davidson in 1983. Thomas Lenox Kempner, Jr. is currently the Executive Managing Member of Davidson Kempner Capital Management.  He joined Davidson Kempner in December 1984. Mr. Kempner became a Managing Member of Davidson Kempner Capital Management in January 1986 and was appointed Executive Managing Member in January 2004. Mr. Kempner graduated from the Harvard Business School in 1978, with distinction, and from Yale College in 1975, magna cum laude. Davidson Kempner Capital Management emplys a diverse set of investment strategies and had around $22 billion in assets under management (AUM) at the beginning of 2014.
