Benjamin Gambill founded Tiger Eye Capital in April 2009. This hedge fund was seeded by Julian Robertson. Tiger Eye Capital invests in a diverse set of industries including natural resources, industrials, technology-media-telecom (TMT), real estate, and financials. Ben Gambill had around $1 billion under management at the end of 2013. Tiger Eye Capital returned 13.3% annually through January 2011. The fund’s worst year was 2011 with a return of 5.4%. Tiger Eye Capital delivered a net return of 17.0% in 2012 and 38.1% in 2013.

Ben Gambill’s stock picks didn’t do as well in 2014. The fund was up only 0.9% during the first half of 2014.
