Research in Motion Ltd. (BBRY)While there has yet to be an official announcement on any dates from BlackBerry, one of the company’s executives may have recently spilled the bean as far as its Android roll out is concerned.

IBN Live is covering this, and recently published some details about what users can expect over the next few months. Here is a brief excerpt:

“But alongside the launch of the BlackBerry Q5 on Tuesday in India, Sunil Lalvani, managing director, BlackBerry India, gave us more information on the launch plans of the BBM service for Android. When asked Lalvani to narrow down the availability details, he said, “The service is coming to Android this summer. But summer as per North America, where it remains till September.” When asked if that means that BBM for Android would be available before the end of September, his response was in the affirmative.”

Once again, it is important to note that this is not an official announcement from Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry. That being said, one would think that Lalvani knows a thing or two about when the service is going to be launched for Android. He was even asked to clarify, which he did not have any problem doing.

If this information from Lalvani is accurate, Android users will not have to wait long to take advantage of BlackBerry Messenger. It will only be a couple more months before they are able to rely on the service.

The article went on to add even more about the upcoming release of Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry Messenger for Android as well as a new release in India:

“BlackBerry on Tuesday also launched its mid-range BlackBerry 10 OS smartphone – the BlackBerry Q5 at Rs 24,990.”
