Google Nexus 7 AT&T: Earlier today, we posted an article providing information on the domination of the Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Nexus 7 tablet in Japan over the holidays. By taking the number one sales spot away from the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:APPL) iPad, this tablet is gaining a lot of attention.

Is it possible that things are looking up for the Nexus 7 in the United States? While Google surely hopes so, it is nice to see that the search giant is getting a good bit of help from cellular providers.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)ZDNet, a CBS Interactive site, is reporting that AT&T is offering $100 off the Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Nexus 7 tablet with a two year contract. With this discount, it is easy to see that the tablet is now one of the cheapest on the market.

By forming partnerships with cellular providers, Google has the chance to get its Nexus 7 tablet in front of a larger number of people.

You can learn more about this deal by heading directly to this Google Play page. For $299 plus the discount, it is safe to say that this deal is going to be quite popular.

Not only is this a big win for Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) but it goes a long way in helping AT&T at the same time.

Here is some additional information from the ZDNET article:

“AT&T has announced that it’s extending its deal from last year — $100 off tablets with a two-year data contract — to the Nexus 7 through February 24. That means you can get the 32GB slate for just $199, but that’s only a good deal if you were planning on using it with cellular service instead of just Wi-Fi.”
