Google Inc (GOOG) Leaks Apple Inc (AAPL) Product Announcement Early

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) is set to begin its much-anticipated new product today at 1:00 pm EST (event invite pictured left), but we may have gotten a sneak peak courtesy of Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG). As Fast Company’s Noah Robischon originally tweeted, marketing terminology about a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display has been showing up on Google Search’s preview function before the text itself is actually online. Now, we saw a little bit of this spoilage with Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 5 release, and its likely nothing nefarious on Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s part, but its intriguing nonetheless.

Interestingly, some curious results also appear on Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) when searching the term “iTunes 11,” but we’ll let you see that for yourself. In short the tech community as a whole has been expecting a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, and we reported yesterday about the possibility of Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) releasing a new iteration of iTunes with Facebook-functionality, but it’s still important to chronicle these developments as they arise.

After all, the early bird gets the worm, and with Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s stock actually down around a percentage point on the day (at the time of this writing)..well, you get the point.

Either way, there’s still no developments on the feature that we’re looking forward to learning about the most: Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s supposed entry into the streaming music radio industry. If these rumors are true, Pandora and Spotify will have a lot to worry about, as no company wants to see the Cupertino giant come stomping into their turf.
