Looking back at 2012, it is easy to see that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) had big things in mind. In a 12 month span, the tech titan rolled out a new phone and notebook, as well as two new tablets.

A recent article on CNN Money takes a closer look at which new products may hit the market in the new year.

“Analysts Gene Munster and Douglas Clinton of Piper Jaffray took a stab at predicting what used to be unpredictable: Apple's product calendar. Their report includes a number of not-so-prominent product upgrades, which lead Piper's analysts to the conclusion that 2013 "will set the stage for bigger changes in the product lineup in 2014 and beyond.”
The article breaks down a few possibilities for 2013:
1. Apple Radio. A free radio service from Apple could be a huge hit, especially if it is part of iTunes. This may be the year we see it happen.
“Media discussion surrounding Apple Radio has been ongoing since October, so an expected release in early 2013 would come as no surprise.”
2. iPad mini with Retina Display. The iPad mini has been a big success thus far. The possibility of adding a retina display has many consumers salivating.
