Fairchild Semiconductor Intl Inc (FCS): It’s Time for This Company to Prove its Mettle

Now, since Fairchild Semiconductor Intl Inc (NYSE:FCS) had supplied a total of five chips for the iPad mini and its bigger brother, I think that it might even land a spot in the next iPhone. The growing relationship between the two companies should not be ignored as it will provide wheels to Fairchild’s diversified business.

Also, if Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) adds on a retina display to the iPad mini in early 2014, as reports suggest, Fairchild might see its revenue climb further, since the retina version would probably sell at a greater pace than the current generation as that’s just what the device lacks now.

The bottom line

Fairchild Semiconductor Intl Inc (NYSE:FCS) has been getting better in a slow and steady manner. The company expects its gross margin to improve and revenue might return to year-over-year growth this time. Given the improvements in its end-markets, I won’t be surprised if it issues a decent guidance this time as well. Check back this space again in a few days to know how Fairchild performed in the quarter and where it is headed in the future.
