Carter’s, Inc. (CRI): Hound Partners Ups Stake to 7%

Jonathan Auerbach is bullish on Carter’s, Inc. (NYSE:CRI) and has boosted his fund’s stake in the company. As reported in a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Auerbach’s fund, Hound Partners, has added 307,362 shares to its holding in mid-June. As a result, Hound Partners now holds 3.71 million Carter’s, Inc. (NYSE:CRI) shares, which account for 6.92% of the company’s common stock.

Carter’s, Inc. (NYSE:CRI) has also attracted the attention of Chase Coleman and Feroz Dewan, who run Tiger Global. According to the fund’s latest 13F filing, its stake in the company has been increased by 15% during the first quarter of this year to 6.48 million shares. Larry Robbins is also bullish on this stock, having increased his fund’s stake by 47% to 1.55 million shares, during the same period. Alan Fournier and his fund, Pennant Capital Management, have also reported an increase in their holding of Carter’s, Inc. (NYSE:CRI): up 10% during Q1 to 3.18 million shares.
