Apple iPhone Rumors: According to multiple reports, it appears that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is preparing for production of its next iPhone. While this may not put every rumor to rest, it is information that most people have been craving for quite some time.

In short, the next iPhone model is set to begin production this quarter. Along with this, and even more interesting, is the fact that the Cupertino-based company is rumored to be offering a more affordable model later in 2013. According to the article, the new iPhone will be “similar in size and shape to its current one.” With this in mind, it is safe to say that a summer release from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is more than possible.

As noted above, there is also a rumor that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is working with “its manufacturing partners in Asia” in an attempt to bring down the cost of the iPhone.

It is also important to note that people close to the company have said that the cheaper device could make it ways to market by the second half of 2013. This device will likely have a different casing than current models, one of the many ways it plans on keeping down the price.

If both of these rumors are true, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is going to have a busy second half of the year. In addition to a new regularly priced iPhone model, people will finally get to see the company’s foray into the lower end of the smartphone market. Many analysts feel that a cheaper iPhone is coming soon, along with a new regularly priced model to be released sometime this summer.
