Endure the muddle-through period

When you consider that Apple generated more than $43 billion in revenue and nearly $10 billion in profits amidst a quarter that did not have the benefit of any significant product releases, it becomes clear how powerful Apple has become.

Despite all the worry surrounding Apple’s product, it’s worth noting that the company sold more iPhones and iPads during the most recent quarter than the year-ago period.

At its current level, Apple trades for less than 10 times trailing earnings and offers a 3% dividend yield. The company will have new products ready for release next year, which should propel earnings (and therefore, dividends and buybacks) even higher.

For investors willing to wait for the next generation of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) products, now might be the best buying opportunity available for one of the world’s most valuable companies.
