Conclusion

Expect retailers such as Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) to continue experimenting with ways to improve their online presence. As the future of retail plays out in large part on the Internet, large retailers such as these must be able to provide an online shopping experience that is equivalent to or better than Amazon’s. If they succeed, their bottom lines will show positive results.
