Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO, Elon Musk, has never failed to dazzle with brilliant ideas that at times seem can only happen in movies. The mystique CEO has many times been compared to the all-time greats due to his brilliance in innovation. Elon Musk

Known for dropping bombshell announcements on his Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR) handle, Musk tweeted that he is ready to accelerate development of the visionary supersonic transportation system. Musk is known for taking risks and transforming industries that he gets involved in, awaiting to see if he will get it right this time around, with the supersonic travel system.

“[…]Then it was a new concept for transportation known as the Hyperloop, meant to bring travelers and commuters from Los Angeles to San Francisco in record time an astonishing 35 minutes. Musk went quite on that dream for some time, and many thought it had been passed. But now he is bringing it back to life,” said Mrs. Willis.

Musk has spent billions of dollars in transforming the travel industry with some innovative ideas and products notably seen through his startups of Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) and SpaceX. The young, energetic CEO has mostly been known for his push for green energy as seen by developments in the electric car space.

Plans are believed to be underway for the construction of a test track with hyperloop also expected to be tested in Texas according to a tweet by Musk himself. A possible five-mile test track will reportedly be constructed to allow students and companies to carry out tests on their pods.

“The actual Hyperloop that will run from LA to San Francisco will cost approximately $6 billion to build and has a conceptual top speed of 760 miles per hour. The concept works by sending pressurized travel pods through a tube above or below the ground. This will be the first high-speed means of travel between the two cities. No word on when it or its test track will be completed, however,” said Mrs. Willis.

The Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO sees the Hyperloop technology as a more viable solution to the current challenges facing the transportation industry when compared to high-speed rail systems that he maintains can be quite expensive.
