As industrywide interest jumped, specific money managers were breaking ground themselves. Balyasny Asset Management, run by Dmitry Balyasny, created the most valuable position in Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE:MTN). The fund had $36.5 million invested in the company at the end of the quarter. Eduardo Abush’s Waterfront Capital Partners also made a $16.5 million investment in the stock during the quarter. The other funds with new positions in the stock are Scott Phillips’s Latimer Light Capital, Jonathan Litt’s Land & Buildings Investment Management, and John Overdeck and David Siegel’s Two Sigma Advisors.

Compared to these stocks Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE:MTN) is more popular among hedge funds.
