It is a miracle if a day goes by without somebody adding another rumor to the cheaper Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone saga. This has taken on a life of its own, and for the time being there are no signs of slowing down. For example, we touched on this story early last week here. Not only are multiple outlets reporting that Cupertino is going to announce such a device in the near future, but quite a few have added images to the fray as well.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)

We are going to start the week off with a bang, touching on a story published by the Techdy Blog: Hands on with Apple’s Budget iPhone

While the name of the title pretty much says it all, you have to read through the story to get the full effect.

Before we go any further it is important to note that we are unable to verify the accuracy of this information. We are simply reporting on this as a means of stirring up conversation.

Here is what the piece had to say about a cheaper Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone:

“Recently, the rear shell of Apple’s rumored budget iPhone was leaked in the colors white, red, green, blue and yellow. Some people think the shells could be Chinese copies, while some believe the low-cost iPhone would probably look like the leaked rear shells. Today, we got Apple’s budget iPhone in hands, and we can’t wait to present a photo gallery and a phenomenal video for you to watch.”

Obviously, if the information is correct this is big news. There are a lot of rumors out there, especially those concerning a budget Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone, however, an actual shell is not always produced.

Even more exciting is the fact that this blog post contains both images as well as a video of the purported smartphone device. Just the same as many other rumors regarding the device, here is what Techdy had to say:

“As can be seen from the images above, all the rumors about the low-cost plastic iPhone seem to be true. The budget iPhone will be made substantially from plastic (we can feel it’s actually polycarbonate material). It will have a 4” screen, like the iPhone 5, and interestingly, the budget iPhone actually has a shape that’s similar to Apple’s original iPod. When we hold the budget iPhone in our hands, the plastic chassis does not feel cheap at all. Unlike the plastic build quality of the Samsung Galaxy phones, the plastic material used on the budget iPhone feels more sturdy.”

Only time will tell if this report is accurate or if Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will go in another direction in the future.
